The sims 3 dragon valley/ using EA game card to buy

Hi! I brought a $60 EA game card so I could buy the new sims 3 dragon valley but I don't see where I can use it to pay for it. Can anyone help me with that? I don't use paypal and I didn't want to use my debit card online so I brought a game card in Best Buy and added it but when I go to check out it only gives me the option for paypal or credit/debit card. I can't even redeem it on Origin because I guess Origin doesn't have the game to sell yet.
