I keep getting this error code for both Pets and Ambitions when I enter in the appropriate serial number. There are three sets I'm trying to obtain, which are the Ultimate Career Bundle, the Paws and Whiskers set, and the Atomic Age pet items and there is a serial code for each. I've tried to register the games (My page>My account>Register a game) and install the Paws and Whiskers set directly (Store>My store account>Purchase history), but neither have worked. I purchased the two packs online and downloaded it to Origin. Via email, I was told that I could obtain these sets for free (with an asterisk). Please help! Thank you.

It's also been 20+ minutes since I bought Pets, so the five minute (max) rule of waiting for the purchase to show up is invalid.

So you can't even redeem the codes ? Are the store content codes invalid or just the one from the game ?
If the store content ones are invalid, you need to contact customer support so they can either add the stuff to your purchase history or give you new codes

Choose a category, a game and a platform for the contact options to show up.
If live chat is gray, change your country to US and make sure you're on US Business hours. It might also gray because they're very busy. Try later.

They are the serial codes with the game from my electronic receipt. I'm not sure if there is another product key/serial number somewhere that I should be using, but it's the only one I found and it also came with the messages that I should be receiving x, y, and z free when I register my game.

How many numbers does it have ? If it's 16 digits then it's for store content, 20 digits would be the serial code of the game
Did you not get an email with any codes ? Did you check your spam folder ?
Also check your purchase History: https://store.thesims3.com/purchaseHistory.html if anything was added there.

If you already have the expansions installed, and are trying to redeem the bonuses, then you do not enter those codes where you register a game. Go to
https://store.thesims3.com/myAccount.html and select "Redeem a code". Hope this helps.
