my sims use to work but I have not been able to play it in about a week in keeps coming up close prog what the hell is going on I have spent over a £100 on the sims 3 and its a disgrace I cant play it

Did not help me at all..I really don't understand though because I did all of the steps but does getting it from steam have to do with the problem.
