Sims University Life messed up?? HELP!

Ever since I downloaded it today, my sims game isn't working! It just comes on, with a blank screen and doesn't even make it to the main menu. I have to use task manager to end the sims 3 game, as the screen is completely frozen! I've downloaded new patches and everything.

I've uninstalled seasons, as many said this was the main problem, but it's still not working! Any idea what to do? This is really tiresome.

Prehaps its the actual game Sims 3 university that is the problem because if you have loads of sims 3 expasion and stuff packs already downloaded onto your game it may not have totally downloaded this new game properly. I would suggest maybe uninstalling sims 3 University and then reinstalling it and see if that works? Hope this helps???
