Sims 3 shuts down my computer.

I have just purchased a new lap top with windows 8 32 bit when I try to play the game it will load the main page, and then give or take 5 to 10 minutes shuts down my computer. I have a HP A8 Vision AMD with 8g ddr3 and  Radeon HD 7640G chip set. I have tried to run it in compatibility modes, deleted caches files and tumbnails. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling more then once. Its also not over heating if anyone have any suggestions please let me know.
