Sims 3 script error

Whenever I open up the Sims 3 game launcher a script error:
Line: 18
Char: 1
Error: Syntax error
Code: 0
URL: http://store.thesims3.com/api/user/balance?locale=en_US&callback=updateBalanceCallBack
I can't get around it, t slows down my game ,and eventually crashes. Someone please help me!

So clicking yes/no crashes the launcher ? I get that error all the time but yes/no usually fixes it.
There's might be something wrong besides the script error so try this the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps/td-p/714/
