Sims 3 help!

Hey!
I bought 4 new extra pack's to sims, but when i try to download them it doesen't work. When I try to download them brings up a message that I'm missing sims 3, but i bought sims 3 at steam, but does it matter if i bought sims 3 at steam? is that the problem that i can't download the other pack's ?

steam versions only work with steam  origin and disks do not work with steam origin and disks work togother but you can try this get your code from steam and redeem it in your origin account then download the game fro your origin account i assume you will have to uninstall the steam version  before downloading the one from origin
