Sims 3 crashing on my Macbook air before playing [ Edited ]

I downloaded my game about a week ago and when I go into Origin to access the game, I get to the starting screen which allows me to click on the play button of Sims. Once I click the play button, the sims icon shows up on my dock but then crashes before it even loads into the game.
