Sims 3 black screen, cursor disappears seconds after black screen.

Hi, I've been playing the Sims 3 for over a month now. I have the Base game, Island Paradise, University Life, Pets, Seasons, Late Night, and Generations. I also have one stuff pack which is High End Loft. A day ago I decided to play the Sims 3, when I got into the black screen, It took longer than usual. Seconds after I transfered to the black screen, my cursor became the Sims 3 blue cursor with the white outline then disappeared. I've been very careful with my game and mods folder. I'm afraid I will never be able to play with my game ever again! I have a family atm that I really love and enjoy playing. I wan't to keep playing and making more generations onto that family. Any advice is helpful!

Hello @stilasimmer09,

Are you on PC or Mac and do you use Origin?

Also, could you try moving the Mods folder to your desktop and then launching the game to see fi the game will work with no mods?
