Sims 3 University Life won't install

Everytime i try to download the Universtiy Life onto Sims 3 it staes the following;-

The Sims 3 University Life game Validation Error

Then followed by a Warning:-

The Sims 3 version installed is more recent than expected

The Sims 3 University Life could be incompatible

The game starts to download but then stops after 23 files of about 75 have been downloaded.

Please can you help
