I finally had my game working seamlessly in Showtime and now that i have installed Supernatural, it keeps crashing. It crashes at random times. My computer is more than capable of handling the game. I'm not getting any specific errors, just that it quit unexpectedly. I tried contacting ea support through email but they just told me to try stupid stuff that doesn't help like closing my processes. This is just so frsutrating. Here are the stats of my computer that were at the end of the crash dialog box. Thanks to anyone who can give me some ideas of what to try.

I've got the same problem, although i'm not even getting to the menu.
Computer more than capable of running EP, so SO disappointed! Have you had any luck fixing this? I have gone nuts googling how to fix the problem, tried everything that has been suggested and still nothing.
Mines a Toshiba Qosmio not a Mac though.

Can't really help on macs but for PCs did yo check this list: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Game-Grashes-CTD/td-p/656/
@OP: I see you have a switchable graphic card. Make sure you play on the full card and not the chip.
Good Luck

How do you make sure you're playing on the full card?

By switching to the card before starting the game.

On a Mac, use gfxCardStatus from http://gfx.io/ to see which GPU you're using. Macs switch dynamically, but you could also use gfxCardStatus to force one GPU or the other.
GPU probably isn't the problem. In fact, on Macs the GeForce GT series have some pretty horrible rendering glitches that EA are yet to fix, and you may be better off forcing the integrated GPU on. See http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/614262.page

Hi everyone
don't know if you've all now managed to sort out the crashing problem with supernatural, I bought mine 2 days ago and spent the last 48 hours figuring out the problem and in the end it was all down the the graphics, all I had to do was turn them down and that was the end to the crashing and lagging problem
don't know if this is any good to any of you but its what has work for me!
