Sims 3 Showtime Installation

It says I have to install the base game through orgin before I can install sims 3 showtime that i just bought (regrettably). but I already have sims 3 installed through orgin and anyway if I do delete the sims 3 then all of my families will be deleted. I honestly just want my money back so I can go buy it at Target and not have to deal with stupid Orgin.

dlc compatibilty alert ? if so  to be able to install the download version without reinstalling despite that message, do not click on the download button in origin click on the “i” (information) button  this will open another window that also has a download button click on that to install
