Sims 3 Launcher, TS3 & Origin Don't Work

Hello,

Yes actually before i even posted here i tried everything that i could find online,
one of the solution was doing just that: coping the folder to another location leaving "sims 3" empty and then trying to launch the game but when i did that i got an Error telling me that there are files missing.

Install Point:

default location would be "Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3" ?

EDIT -- Reading back through the thread, you are installed at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

EDIT -- from this I take it that this started as a Retail Install?

Save Point:

location must be "%documents%\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3"!

I would expect to see a "files missing" error if the :"install point" was empty!

But the game should just re-populate the "save point" when it is cleaned out?

Would you mind trying this again -

making sure that THE empty "Electronic Arts\The Sims 3" folder is in your

documents location?

and that your "Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3" folder still

has the game files in it?

EDIT:

Opening your Origin Client, find the Origin Menu - and then open the

"Application Settings" - and navigate to the "Advanced" tab.

Just where does Origin say "Your games will be installed to ..."?
