Sims 3 Island Paradise won't install

Hi,

I recently purchased the Sims 3 Island Paradise expansion pack on Origin.  I downloaded the pack and it told me that to install it I had to update my game.  I completely updated the Sims 3 (which took 9 hours).  I tried again to install Island Paradise and it told me to update again.  There are no new updates available, but it gives me the option to redo the 9 hour update I just did.  I do NOT want to do another huge update and just keep having the same issue.  Does anyone have a solution?  Or does anyone know if I can get a refund from Origin?

Ps:  My Sims 3 is running on version 16.0.136.019001 and has 3 other expansion packs (seasons, supernatural and pets) which work perfectly.
