Sims 3 Invalid Serial Code?

I tried to register the Serial Code of "The Sims 3" that I just bought by the Origin on the official game website but it says the code isn't valid!! How can I fix it?

 

I saw there is already a post talking about this, but since they didn't solve it, why not make another?

1 Click on the following link: https://help.ea.com/contact-us
2 Make sure you are logged in (top right corner)
3 Click on the blue button "Contact a Game Advisor"
4 Enter the name of your game or product (or "Origin" for account-related issues) and click "Find Solutions"
5 Select the type of issue and the platform you play on, and click on "Find Solutions".
6 Click on the blue button "I still need help" if the FAQ articles do not apply to your situation.
7 Select a contact option. Note that you may get different contact options depending on your country.

When you buy the game from Origin, it is automatically registered for you on the Sims site; it can take some time for it to show up on your "my page" though.  Try logging in and out of both account and see if that helps.  Even if you didn't buy it from Origin, here are some helpful posts on registering your games:

This is really a pain - every game/expansion pack you buy on the Origin website will not register on the SIMs 3 website - you always get the message that it's not a valid serial number.  Why?  Because the folks at Origin, in their infinite wisdom, on registered the software through the Origin website and forgot to link the registration to the SIMS 3 website software. 

 

This is really an easy software fix - but how come it's taken their System's folks so long to fix this problem?  Especially since it is causing so much extra work for them - and heartache for all of us customers who are hissed off at this problem.  Plus, not being able to register the games on the SIMs website, you miss out on all the Free Content that you were promised when on your purchase order.

 

One would think that since they haven't fixed this problem as of  yet, that on every purchase order on Origin they would kindly add instructions for the customer on how to register this software properly.  Or at least generate some sort of internal alert so it can be done internally by their System's folks (like I said, this should be an easy fix - all they need to do is create a dataset of all registrations on Origin - send it to the Sims 3 System's folks to run it through their registration software - heck, they already have our names, emails, and User IDs - this should be a piece of sim-cake for them.
