Sims 3 Download Error

Hi, I have a Windows 8 laptop and when I go to download it, it says error and then stops the download. I went to Game Stop about it and they said to contact you guys by phone. We tried, but we were never transferred for an HOUR! We tried it again and the same thing happened, still on hold for an hour.
