Sims 3 Activation Code

I already bought the sims 3 game for my old laptop a while back. But that one broke and now I have a new one; the problem is that my new laptop doesnt have a place to insert the disk. I still have the activation code so is there a way that I can download the sims on this new laptop with just the code?

downlaod orign to your computer then from the desktop shortcut icon log in from there with your email and password you use for your account then in the my games tab  right click the game icon-downward

if it asks for a code during installation then in the my games tab hove the mouse over the game icon click on the i  a window should pop open with the code on it have pen and paper handy
