Sim's portraits not showing her correct outfits?

I had this issue a long time ago, I since got 2 new laptops.

But my sim's portrait will not show correct outfit for formal, sleepwear, atheltic etc.Below is a video,

as you notice, when she changes her everyday outfit, it updates.But not when she changes into formal or sleepwear.

Has anyone ever found a fix for this? it doesn't make the game unplayable, but does bug me.XD

In The Sims 3, your Sim's portrait doesn't change with all the different outfits. It's normal it doesn't update for formal, sleepwear or athletic outfits.

There's nothing wrong with your game, this is how it's supposed to work

I hope now that you know everything is working as intended, it doesn't bother you anymore

Ok.it used to a long time ago.did that change or something?

I might remember wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was always like that - it changed for normal clothes, but not when Sims wore their pyjamas, formal clothes, etc.

Maybe someone else can help us with this. For example, @roberta591, do you remember?

It does change more often with The Sims 4, have you also played The Sims 4?

@graceymanors  I play both TS3 and TS4 and I haven't had this issue. Do you have any cc outfits installed? Sometimes the cc might over write default items. Did you try changing the outfits back to default?
