I'm just gonna bump onto this post, since my problem is similar-ish.
I bought World Adventures through Origin and the free SImpoints never went through. After looking through the FAQ about the missing free Simpoints, it became clear that I need the serial code for the EP I bought. Except Origin doesn't give me one. I'd prefer not live chatting with someone, as I've heard quite a lot of negativity results from that, and I'm just plain uncomfortable with talking to people (should get that checked out :cattongue. Any way to get the Simpoints, or to get the email of someone who can help?

Check on the origin client.
Right click on the game and choose Show game details. The code should be there
If it's not there, log out and back in and/or restart Origin
@firepiplup Unfortunately, there isn't an email. Only other option is to request a call-back.

The code is there, but The Sims 3 store won't accept it. :/ What now? (Sorry I took so long to post back, didn't notice the email until today....)
