Reinstalling Game - Origin says my Sims 3 key has already been used?

So I bought The Sims 3 not too long ago. I installed it on my laptop and got it going.

Then I got my laptop serviced which meant it was uninstalled and so on.

I went to install it back so, I installed Origin and placed the key in but it says "Code has already been used."

How can I reinstall my game???

Are you trying to re-register or download and install from myGames in the Origin client ?

When I tried to reinstall it from my games it said that I needed to install the base game and when I tried to do that it said that my code was invalid and was already used. What do I do because I really want to play my game and I don't want to have to buy a new one!

Does the game show up in MyGames on your account ? There's no need to register the game again. You just download from mygames.

Hi, i also have the same problem although it says that the code has already been used, it won't show up under my games. Therefore i cannot download it or install it.

I ended up buying a new copy of the game (it was the Starter Pack) but now it says that in order for me to install my Island Paradise game I have to update my game but it will not connect to the EA download manager! What do I do now??

When I tried to install the update it said that the installed version of the application could not be determined and that the setup will now terminate. What should I do??
