Registering for The Sims 3

I recently downloaded The Sims 3 and have tried registering for the Sims 3 community so I'll type it in my email, click continue, and then it'll prompt me to enter my password (as I have Origin account) but whenever I do and click the next button nothing happens and it'll tell me to enter my password again. I have no clue what's going on and would appreciate some help.

Are you using the "Login" or the "Create an account!" button on the Sims 3 website? If it is the latter, just use login and the email and password that you use for Origin.
