Redeem product code for origin did not show up in my games after accepted

Sims 3 Seasons purchased from in a store [I have the actual copy but having problems with the disc] was redeemed using origin and accepted, but won't show up in my games even after logging out and refreshing, and cannot try to redeem it again.

@garyspongebob Is your computer a pc or mac? What is the version of the game? Does Season show up as owned in Origin? Once a code is accepted by the system that code is lock to the Origin account in use at that time and can not be re entered. If your computer is a pc is Seasons turn on in the launcher if your game is version 1.69

It's a mac, the game is Sims 3 seasons limited edition for mac/PC - I realise now that I was supposed to uninstall the CD version of the game first before doing it. is there any way to make it come up now that I have?
