Purchases Sims 3 started pack from Amazon and cannot open the game

I purchased the Sims 3 starter pack from Amazon this afternoon. I have download and sign up for all accounts. I have downloaded all the games that came in the pack. When I click the play button I recieve an error message about script content. The games goes to a black screen and does not work at all. Please Help.

does it crash to desktop ? or is it minimizing ?
