I bought a Sims 3 and it worked perfectly, but unfortunately had to uninstall the Sims 3 and Origin, now my Sims 3 won't install correctly and when I try to log in Origin it comes up with "An unknown error has occurred. Please restart Origin and try again. What do I do?

After many months of having my sims 3 sitting in my drawer I have managed to find the solution. First I would like to say that I do not have a mac so I am unsure if this will work for a mac. Basically after a long time I decided to refresh my PC as it was becoming slow, after doing this I attempted to re-install my Sims 3 game, with sucess! I hope this helps other people who have felt the same frustration as I have for the past few months!

Are you on a mac ? It's a common issue for macs. I would suggest looking around in the Mac forum on the official site: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/forums/show/205.page
There are no real mac specialists on the AnswerHQ just yet.
