My Sims 3 keeps crashing.

For some reason my sims 3 is crashing right before i get to go into my town. I had downloaded it before on my old laptop, but now i have a new one and so I redownloaded it on to my new laptop with from my Origin games list. (idk where my CD is but my number and TS3 case is still with me) Before I started playing I downloaded some sims then tried to play and it crashed before i got into my town. So I uninstalled the downloaded content and tried again. And it's still the same. What can I do to fix it?
