Making Sims 3 Come To Life Again

I've been trying to play my Sims 3 for the past couple of months and it just won't load. Everytime I go to open my family , it'll get to the loading screen, then freeze; causing me to have to restart my computer. It worked when I first put it on my computer though. I've tried changing the resolution, taking it off full screen, and I uninstalled it from my computer. But nothing is really working seems like. Any suggestions? I just want to flourish my family ! LOL Please help.
