Lost serial code for The Sims 3 base game :(

i bought it instore at ASDA and i still have the disk but lost the serial code. on thesims3.com my account RebeccaElaine does say that i have registered the game its just that i dont have the serial code and i would rather not spend £15 on a new game if i dont have to. Please help. Im not bothered if i dont get a free serial code or help or whatever but it would be appreciated .
