So, I bought The Sims 3 starter pack. The base game and the first expansion pack works fine, but when I install the Late Night Expansion Pack, it doesn't work. I have uninstalled and installed again and that didn't work. And I have looked up ways to get around the launch screen and none of those work. I don't know how to fix it, but if anyone does, I would appreciate it very much. I would like to play this expansion and not have my money go to waste. Thank you.

After you installed LN did the game patch? Did you try the manual super patch?

@ssimplyhannahh I merged your posts. Please keep to yours.
Many people with your cpu have the same issue: They can play the base game but not any expansions.
The minimum requirements need at least a 2.4 ghz CPU or equivalent. You only have a AMD 1.0 ghz which is not an equivalent.
I would try to get a refund for your expansion pack through a game advisor

Since I can't run them from Origin, could I run them on disk?

Not sure what you mean.
Your computer probably can't handle the expansion pack.
