unfortunately if your friend redeemed the code to their account the game code is/are tied to that account game codes arenontransferable nor can they be registered to another account if you bought a sims 3 game from them on a disk you should still be able to install it
you would either have to buy an an expansion or stuff pack and register it to your account in order to redeem the code for the world to your account and download your world from there
if the code is for the world nothing can be done about that as the world is a store item and is in the sellers sims 3 purchase history
also the sims 3 and origin use the same email and password so always make sure to use the right one for logging in purposes
