Island Paradise disk isn't working

Whenever I put in my Island Paradise disk, my computer makes a horrible scratchy noise and won't read the disk. I bought another copy of the EP today and it still won't work. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there any way I can fix it, or be able to play the game without the disk?

Please, I just want to see my Sims again. I miss them so much.

@ladygod Please check the following article to find and download your expansions: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/the-sims/the-sims-3/where-to-find-the-sims-3-expansions-in-origin/

If your Sims 3 base game doesn't show in Origin you may need to redeem that code as well.

@ladygod Is it possible that there is an issue with your disc tray?

As for playing without disc, you can do so, if you download the game from Origin.

You can download Origin setup file from here.

After installing the client, log in with the same email/password you would have used http://www.thesims3.com/. If you redeemed your product codes on the Sims 3 site then the game should show in Origin, if you did not redeem the Sims 3 product codes (for the base game and EPs) please do so now: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/origin-code-redemption-faq/

After redeeming the codes, you can download the base game and expansions (for more info on expansions check here).

I can't redeem the code. The website won't let me. It says the page doesn't exist.

EDIT: Nevermind, I couldn't figure out how to do it in the actual Origin thingy so I thought I had to do it on the website. I'll try it now and see if it works.

EDIT: I just redeemed the code on Origin and I can't figure out how to download it.
