I previously had the Sims 3. It messed up my computer so I attempted to install it. It did not correctly install. Now I have bought a new Sims 3 game and it wont let me install it. I have no other Sims 3 on my computer. But it still will not install. I have tried manually installing it. 3 ways, and even after that it wouldn't let me install the new one. What is wrong?

Try manually uninstalling any left overs you have of the game on your computer. When you uninstall, stuff is often left behind.

 

Follow instructions here: https://help.ea.com/article/manually-uninstalling-the-sims-3

 

After that, try installing again.

 

If that does not help, please provide some further info. What happens ? Do you get an error message ? PC or Mac ? Anything else that comes to mind.
