Hey, I have having the some problem. Let me describe it too you.
I open the The Sims 3 Launcher. This script error will pop up.
Line: 0
Char: 0
Error: Script Error
Code: 0
If I click "Yes" or No", the launcher will still run, until I click the play button. Then the same message pops up again, even if I click "Yes" or "No" the launcher still crashes and I can't play the game.
P.S I brought my copy AFTER the September 2012 update so I can't bypass the launcher.

Haven't seen that. I'll try asking around and get back to you.
What OS are you on and what country are you in ?

Can this error stop you from playing? Because I get the script error (line, char and code 0). But when I press yes, no or the x button, I can't play my game.

I've just installed the Sims 3 with a couple of expansion packs (running off Supernatural) and I receive the following message when the launcher starts up:
An error has occured in the script on this page
Line: 8
Char: 7390
Error: Member not found
Code: 0
URL: http://lvlt.thesims3.com/scripts/combined.js.h296323417.pack
This error means i cant update the game, or log in, or play online.
Have doubled checked my log in details - all ok. Have also updated java etc

This is common. Shouldn't be a problem to play the game anyways.

Ok Thank you Cinrict, by the way how do you have all of the knowlege? are you a programmer ?

I did study computer science, yes but I mostly do database stuff in RL (don't have any association with EA though)
I just read a lot but a basic understanding of how programming works helps a lot
