I have sims3 university life and lost the disk

I have sims 3 as well as quite a few expansions i have lost the game disk for one of the expansions univerity life. i still have the game code as well as the package i was wondering if there was a way to get a new disk from EA or possible a digital download to play without a disk

If you want to get a download version, contact support with your game code and ask to have it added to your origin library.

I Have it registered to my origin account and it appears in my games. i click on play and it starts the launcher but when i click play it says please insert game disk

did you uninstall the disk version first ? go to control panel find the sims 3 uni uninstall check for left over files and registry keys http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-manually-uninstall-the-sims-3-university-life/ if you have ccleaner from piriform (they have a free version )  run that a few times to assist with the cleaning up then download the digital version and install it

if you run into DLC alert for the digital version ignore it  and do this to be able to install the download version without reinstalling despite that message, do not click on the download button in origin click on the “i” (information) button  this will open another window that also has a download button click on that to install
