How to install Sims 3 on Windows 8

HELP ME!!! ive wanted the sims 3 my entire life and today i finaly get the starter pack at best buy. my computer is a toshiba and windows 8. i made an sims 3 and origin account and when i log in it says: You must be online when logging in for the first time. i have all of the instructions that came inside the box and non of them tell me what that means. and my launcher never came up. so i have to click a thing that came in on the top right corner of my pc screen. and i hit install when it shoped the sims 3 age, signed in to origin and it said that. HELP ME I WANT TO PLAY MY FAVORITE GAME IN THE WORLD D:

Make sure you have Proxies turned off.

Control Panel --> Internet Options --> Connections --> LAN Settings --> Untick Proxy Server
