HELP "There was an error during startup. Please see log for more details"

When I open up the sims 3 launcher it comes up with whats in the title of this question. I know this question has been asked before by someone else, but I tried doing what other people suggested and it didn't work. Please help me, I haven't been able to play for almost a week now. I'M DESPERATE >-<
