Game will not start after adding Ambitions

I purchased Ambitions last week and after a few tries, it finally completely downloaded.

However, the launcher opens but when i hit the play button a few things happen but none of them include the game starting.

-if i try to start with the original game I get the script errors I've read a few people are getting

-if I start with Ambitions, it tells me it cannot connect to the EA download manager

I can close both sets of issues and hit the play button.

But after I do, the launcher closes and then nothing happens. the whole thing closes and thats it.

I've tried talking with the live chat people almost every day and gotten nowhere.

Questions I know will be asked:

-I'm on pc, windows 8.1

-I have no other expansions, this is my first

-I've tried the big patch and nothing changed

-I've uninstalled/fully deleted and started over at least a dozen times

-I've allowed origin through the firewall and automatic downloads

-I've checked for viruses and have none

-My base game and ambitions are both through origin

I don't know what else to do, I'm so frustrated.

Could you post this info: 

1. Click on Start and then type the following into the search prompt at the bottom: perfmon /rel
2. Press Enter to proceed.
3. A window will open and in there you can click on the red circles with a white X.
4. After clicking the X, the info on the bottom will update. Choose the Sims 3 Critical Event one and right click on it and choose "View Technical Details"
5. Now on the next window, choose Copy to clipboard at the very bottom and post this into a reply to us here.

What version does your game launcher show ?

Are you starting the game through Origin or a shortcut ? Did you try starting the base game instead ? Could you post the same message when you try that.

Ive tried starting it though the base game (both from the shortcut and the location in the file), though when the patch is installed (to make it 1.67) no matter which i click on, it opens origin and i have to open it from there every time.

This is that report from when i open the base game (though it did open origins in order to let me try because of the patch)
