Game is patched too much (uninstalled a game)

I uninstalled Island Paradise because it was causing my game to crash constantly, the game disk I play on now University however my game is patched to 1.54.95 (the patch from the Island Paradise). This  is causing my launcher to act wonky, sometimes it downloads content but doesn't add it to the game (saying make sure the game is updated completely before playing) and other times it just won't download content ("There was an error downloading content 7664918"). Is there a way to fix this without having to uninstall and reinstall my games?

I don't have Back to the Future shouldn't I skip that patch?

the patch inculcated fixes for people that certain store items and have into the future expansion  and or who may get that pack in the future ( pun intended) also if your not patched up some store items you may not be able to download because your way under the patch level
