Game effects

I just bought the sims 3 supernatural and installed it and its working fine but the effects that are suppose to come out of the wands are not appearing and when I try to reinstall it tells me that I'd have to reinstall all of the games and updates it again so is there a way I can fix this with out reinstalling evertything

Sounds like you have an incompatible NoMosaic or NoEffect mods in your game. Remove or update and delete your cache files

Go to documents\ea\thesims3 and delete these files

CASPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package
socialCache.package
