My laptop runs the Sims 3 ridiculously slow. Takes almost twenty minutes to load up a town, slow. It really, really shouldn't.
I have an Asus laptop G75VW, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30GHz, CPU speed of 2.3 GHz, RAM of 8.2 gigs, Windows 7 home Premium 64bit, GeForce GTX 660M video card, and over 800 gigs of space. I run the newest Tomb Raider, Skyrim, and SWTOR at the highest possible graphics and, in the case of Skyrim loaded with mods, no problem. In the case of the Sims, though? I keep it completely vanilla with no CC, fully updated, medium graphics, and it takes me roughly a half hour to load up an entirely empty town that I haven't even put a family in yet. Takes me about two hours in Create A sims to go between all the tabs to build a character without editting. Everything is choppy, and takes a ridiculously long time to load.
Anyone know what to do?
