My main story has a glitch.. (maybe 10).
I don't know what's connected or relative to the problem. Maybe it all is.
I say it's the story cuz I was able to start a new story and play. It wasn't long though before I noticed the jumping in the menu items - again.
I have
removed custom content - Packages and Downloads folders,
done this (http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help: Sims_3_Delete_Cache_Files),
removed duplicate files,
cleared other files using Delphy's Dashboard.
What I see in all stories now - items jumping in the menu you choose them from not in direct gameplay
Also, when I change from one family to another... I have to go to a game family first cuz when I go to another created family the camera goes to the different house but the portraits are the last family.
In my main story.. I have a mare ready to foal. She walks out of the stall, raises her head, the 'name this foal' msg shows. I click the check and it loops repetitively. I called ea tech support.. he said to put this experience in the sims 3 forum cuz that's where the game techs go, so I did. He also said that an update would be made to cover this . . it wasn't. Another player suggested I go to another house temporarily on the thought it may clear up the other.. I did - it didn't. In the new family there was another glitch - magic. I would indicate a sim go to bed they would go in it then *pop*, they were standing beside it.. similarly with showering/bathing. Trying to converse one would *pop* somewhere else.
NOW.. when I go to load that story. It gets to the story (shows the correct house etc.) then the message that Sims has stopped working comes up.
How do I get rid of cc items that will not be found? There's the apron, 1st shymoo item, (referring to Crinrict's list [http://sims3.crinrict.com/badcc/en/BadCC_Clothing.html], tall boots, and a swimsuit I cannot find, regardless of search method. There's 1 of 2 swimsuits/boots that end up on the infants which is what (I'm assuming) makes them be born as squiggles or hollow rods. I tried deleting the apron and swimsuits in-game - to no avail. I don't see them in the launcher and can't see any id in-game to search for.
Again, I have done the aforementioned.. to no avail.
