Cannot play Sims 3 Base Game after putting in Island Paradise EP

When I put in my sims 3 base game, and click the load button on Sims 3 launcher it says something like this: No disc found! Please insert Island Paradise Expansion Pack. I dont want to play Island Paradise though, I just want to play my base game. But when i put in my Island Paradise Expansion Pack disc, and press to play, it loads. Help needed, the question is how do i load both games, but play them seperate.

You always play all expansion packs together and put in the disc of the last one released that you own. That's how it works.

You can enjoy the content of all installed games

You don't have to play the IP world, you can even start an older game. The content of IP will be present but you don't have to use it.
