Can't update beyond 1.55 [ Edited ]

Every time I attempt to update to 1.57 or 1.63 I get the same error message:

CRC Error: The file ...\GameData\Shared\Packages\DeltaBuild1.package doesn't match the file in the setup's .cab file.

I have attempted all potential solutions on the following page found by searching this forum for people with the same issue:

Yes, that means I DID uninstall disc emulation systems, attempt a new install with fresh files from the spyware known as Origin, attempt a fresh install from my original DVD, and copy said files to the drive and attempt a fresh install that way, rebooting between each before attempting to patch using incremental AND super patches downloaded from 3 sources in 2 different browsers. I clean my registry weekly, my computer is defragmented monthly (just happened to be last week), all my firmware is up to date, and then I tried the same on a 2nd computer with the antivirus off and STILL got the same error message! I have even tried ignoring the error, which results in a broken game.

Both computers are running Windows 7 x64 Pro.

I find it interesting that not one person with the same issue here has actually reported the issue resolved.... 

I'm out of options according to my search, nothing I found either here or via Google has done anything.

I see, it took 3 days for someone to say 'we don't know what's wrong', inspires a lot of confidence in seeing a months old problem will be resolved before the Sims 5 is released....
