Can't Play Game [ Edited ]

I bought and installed the Sims 3 and Sims 3 Seasons together a while back, and now when I open the game launcher and click "play" it tells me that I have no disc inserted, when I know for a fact that I do.

I've tried removing the disc and putting it back in, and when I do that my computer asks me to install the game, but when I click "install" I can't use my product code. My control panel says that the game is still fully installed.

I noticed this about a day after I updated the game.

How do I fix this? If I un-install and re-install would that possibly fix the problem?

i lost my CD once and was stuck with the same problem so my mate downloaded something for me to fix it so you dont nee the CD , this might help u

I cant even figure out how to install sims 3 from the disk and no one will help me. Maybe you system or server is acting up and being weird.
