CANT CHANGE GRAPHIC SETTINGS

Cant change sims 3 graphic settings...

hi i know how to but when i make it higher it says to restart so i restart without pressing tick and nothing happens. Then i try again and press tick THEN restart. When i open the game again everything is white. I went into and gaming files and tried to change the settings there but that didn't work either.

How do i change the graphics AND restart with them applying without messing up???

Maybe your computer isn't powerful enough to play the game on high settings? What computer do you have?
