How do I get rid of that annoying music that is playing during the game?

I figured it out.I deleted that Sim and made a new one..NO MORE MUSIC!!!

You go to the game's option, find the music/sounds tab and you can toggle the volume OR mute it. It's the second tab from the first one.

I tried that...this didn't happen until I added on the sims 3 seasons..

Could you explain what annoying music you're referring to ? Constant Music ? Jingles that play out of context ?

The music is playing the whole time I'm playing the game.This has never happened before. Once I installed Sims 3 season, and once I started playing it starts. It's the same weird tune over and over. It did happen when I was playing Sims 3 supernatural. I can't mute is using the way you said in your previous message.

do you have showtime ? as there is an issue with showtime i think it's the magicians music, it attaches itself to a sim even if the sim is just passing by

With sound issues it often helps to delete the cache files. Not sure if it will but it's worth a shot

Go to documents\ea\thesims3 and delete these files

CASPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package
socialCache.package

Yes I do have Showtime.I just know that, that music is not  suppose to be playing during game play.

I deleted the files you told me too.It didn't work!!! I wonder if anyone else is having this issue?
