Ambitions Crashing

I have The Sims 3 expansions packs Ambitions, Generations, World Adventures, Showtime, Late Night, and Pets. I also have the stuff pack Town Life.

My problem is that if I install Ambitions, it causes my game not to work properly and often makes my computer lag. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this, like a patch or something.

Is this on an existing game or all games ?
