i downloaded origin which i had loads of trouble just to log on to but managed to get on in the end (this isnt the problem)
I went into origin and since my original sims 3 base game disk broke this was my only chance of re-installing it without having to purchase the game again. i tried to activate my code by going into: Origin > Redeem product code but when i entered the code it said "We're sorry, this code cannot be redeemed here. Please redeem your code at the following site: https://www.thesims3.com/registeragame.html.FAQ".....following this it took me to the sims 3 site.
on the sims 3 website i had already activated the code when i first bought it and so when i tried to activate it again it told me that the code is "invalid" and i tried many times with the same result.
I then tried activating it on the origin website which told me that i cannot activate the game on the site and gave me a link to transfer me over to the sims 3 site.
All my sims 3 expansions appear in my Origins games library but the sims 3 base game isnt there so i cant download it until it is in there.
Ive tried to get origin to open for many weeks on-end and to finally be able to get into origin but then get hit with yet another set-back is really starting to frustrate me, any help from the support team will be much appreciated

If it says invalid code it seems that it doesn't get recognized properly.
I would suggest to contact Customer Support.
They can be found here: https://help.ea.com/contact-us
You have the option to contact them by mail, phone or Live Chat. Make sure you have a game, a category and a platform selected for the options to become available.
For Live Chat, make sure to choose US as your country.
