installation expension packs sims 2

Hello,

I have a question about my sims 2 games.

I have a new laptop with windows 8.

I installed the Sims 2 and it works fine.

When I try to install the expension packs there is nothing wrong in the first part, but when I have to insert cd 4 from sims 2 to make the product up to date it tells me there is a problem and it unistalls the expension.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

interesting... i have an HP computer and the sims 2 installed fine! Didn't even have to change the graphic settings to fit the screen! Try cleaning the disc. that could help.
