[The Sims 2] problem installing sims 2 apartment life [ Edited ]

Greetings, 

I tried downloading and installing apartment life from origin about an hour ago, and i got an error message "The Sims 2 is not installed or improperly installed on your machine. Please install or reinstall The Sims 2." This cant be true, since I just ran the program. I'm simply not going to reinstall it - I've encountered problems each time I've done that. I'm pretty peeved, since I can't play the expansion I payed $20 for, and I've been waiting on the phone on hold with so-called customer service for an hour. I'm very not likely going to purchase the Sims 3, or anything else from EA games, now that I know what the customer service experience is like.

At the moment, The Sims 2 is not supported on these boards. However, I'm sure that the Answer HQ player community will be happy to help you.

If would would like to see The Sims 2 supported here, you can suggest it on the Idea Exchange. Best ideas will be periodically reviewed and implemented.
