Asking about The Sims 2, live chat won't work?

I've been trying to contact a Game Advisor for a couple of hours and had no luck. The waiting time is supposed to be less than 5 minutes yet the current attempt I've been giving it has been going for just over 40 minutes at this point. Any way you can help?

Sorry to hear that you have been having issues reaching our support. It looks like a case hasn't been created for you so it could be that you were not connected to chat properly. 

Could you please do a clean boot and then check if you are able reach an Advisor via chat? Also if you use browser extensions/ad-ons make sure these are disabled. Some antivirus/firewall programs have also proven to be slightly problematic, so if possible please try with only Windows Defender enabled.
